Toddler Room #1

We hope you all had a wonderful holiday season! We are looking forward to starting 2025 with a lot of fun in Toddler 1! Our interest in January will be Cold Weather Fun! We will continue to make a variety of creative artwork throughout this month! We will tie in this theme throughout our day, including our reading and circle times. A few of our older toddler friends have moved onto the preschool room and we would like to welcome our new friends coming from the infant room.

We spent the month of December learning all about Christmas and the holidays. The toddlers worked very hard on creating special presents to gift to their loved ones, we hope you enjoyed them. They also spent time participating in other creative and sensory based activities such as making ornaments for the classroom tree, decorating the Christmas tree at the light table, and making cookies/hot cocoa for Santa!

Please remember that we go outside twice daily. Please have snow pants, boots, waterproof mittens, hat, and a winter coat with your child each day. Please label all their belongings, this will help us to keep everything organized. Thank you and Happy New Year!

Toddler Room #2

Welcome back and Happy New Year from Toddler 2! We can hardly believe 2025 has already began. We hope you all had a wonderful holiday with your loved ones. We are looking forward to all the fun the new year has in store for us. We have already began welcoming some new friends from the infant room into our class as well as saying goodbye and wishing lots of luck to those moving up to the preschool room.

We spent the month of December learning all about Christmas and the holidays. The toddlers worked very hard on creating special presents to gift to their loved ones, we hope you enjoyed them. They also spent time participating in other creative and sensory based activities such as making ornaments for the classroom tree, making hot cocoa, and more! Playing pin the nose on the snow man, decorating the tree, and finding Elfie (our elf on the shelf) were a few of our favourite games at circle.

During the month of January, we look forward to learning all about winter, Arctic animals, experiencing the snow and more! After seeing the first snowfall and reading the book ‘Frosty The Snowman’ the topic of snow and winter have become a popular topic. We have lots of crafts, sensory bins, songs and games planned!

We thank you for bringing labeled and appropriate winter gear for your little ones. We also ask that you continue to practice putting on snowsuits with your little one to promote self-help skills as this makes for an easier transition going outside.

We hope you have a great year!
