Toddler Room #1
May is here! As you know we have been talking all about spring. Including topics like plants, birds, weather patterns and BUGS! The toddlers especially enjoyed hunting for bugs in our sensory bin.
As we head into a new month we look forward to warmer weather. If you would like, it helps when parents leave a labelled ball cap/sun hat in your child cubby.
We are talking about Nursery Rhymes this upcoming week. We will see what fun topics the toddler’s interests lead us to next.
Reminder we are closed Monday, May 20th for the Victoria Day holiday.
We would like to wish all our Mothers and Grandmothers a very Happy Mother’s Day.
Toddler Room #2
We’re so happy for warm sunny days! Now that the rainy days of April are past us, we look forward to getting outside every day. Just a reminder that we go outside twice a day for an hour at a time , so you may wish to send a hat for your child.
The toddlers noticed ladybugs crawling on the ground outside, since then we have spent lots of time searching the ground for bugs. We transitioned this interest into the classroom and have been learning about all the different kinds of bugs.
We would like to welcome all our new friends from the infant room. In the toddler room we like to encourage self help skills, this includes using a spoon and fork, learning how to take off their own shoes/put them on, and dressing for outside. We look forward to getting to know your little one and helping them learn and grow.
Story Book ELC will be closed Monday, May 20th for the Victoria Day holiday.
We would like to wish all our Mothers and Grandmothers a very Happy Mother’s Day.
Reminder: Re-registration forms are due back Friday, May 31st.
