Toddler Room #1
Welcome to January 2024! We hope the new year brings happiness and health to all families and friends. We hope everyone had a good holiday and were able to enjoy it with the ones you hold dear. We have a lot in store for the children this year, and we cannot wait to begin. We are ready to explore new things and offer new and exciting materials for the children to explore. For the month of January, we will be talking about winter and the cold weather. With this, we will be encouraging the toddler’s self help skills by helping them dress themselves for outdoor play.
A reminder to all parents to please provide warm outerwear as we are outside for quite sometime (weather permitting). Please ensure that all of their belongings are labelled, this helps so things don’t go missing.
Toddler Room #2
Happy New Year! We hope everyone had happy holidays and enjoyed the time at home. It was so nice to see all our friends’ smiling faces after such a long break! Sadly, we didn’t get the white Christmas we had hoped for, but fingers crossed we’ll see some snow this month and we can FINALLY make a snowman. We spent the last half of December focusing on Christmas. It’s always exciting to hear the stories in the new year as the toddlers can now truly grasp what we had been discussing. We heard lots of stories about Santa coming to the house and about opening presents.
We thank you for bringing labeled and appropriate winter gear for your little one. We’ve been working on self-help skills when it comes to getting dressed for outside, and the toddlers are doing such a great job! We have many friends who are able to put their snowsuits on entirely by themselves and almost the entire class can flip their own coats on! We ask that you continue to practice putting on snowsuits with your little one at home when possible .
We’ve had some new friends join our class, so we’d like to welcome them and their families. We’d also like to wish the best of luck to all our friends who are graduating to the preschool room.
