“ Autumn leaves of red and gold that crunch beneath your feet, pumpkins on front porches, candy corn and trick or treat. Tart and tangy cider, apples ripened on the trees. A hint of winter coming on the chilly autumn breeze” ~unknown
This month our school-agers are convinced that Autumn means its practically Christmas, however we are pumping the brakes on discussing winter as we sadly wave good bye to summer.
This fall we are eager to go apple picking, drink hot chocolate, eat smores by a bonfire and watch carefully as nature changes before our eyes.
In addition, we are still getting to know all our Story Book families. Lots of our students adore caring for friends and family with simple acts of kindness. Lately we cannot get enough of making cards, gifts, and planning surprises for those we love.
Family and the quality time that we spend with others seems to be extremely important to all of us, so this month we want to take that interest and dig deeper in to our families, their traditions, and customs.
All the while, we are obviously eager for Halloween! We cannot wait to plan out the perfect costumes and have a lot of spooky fun together.
Just a reminder that Story Book will be closed on Monday October 11th for Thanksgiving.
