“The magic, the wonder, the mystery and the innocence of a child’s heart are the seeds of creativity that will heal the world. What we need to learn from children isn’t childish. Being with them connects us to the deeper wisdom of life.” – Michael Jackson
Halloween is over, our broom sticks are parked, and boy are our sugar levels at an all-time high! We are welcoming November with open arms, wishing on shooting stars and casting spells in hopes to make COVID-19 disappear.
Even as we say goodbye to October, we are so very intrigued by ‘witchcraft’, the science of ‘ghosts’, ‘spirits’, myths and legends.
We ADORE telling spooky stories and experiences, early in the morning and inquire about every mysterious occurrence that comes our way. In addition, we often act as spy’s, practicing our stealthy, sneaky moves, stretching, and doing gymnastics to keep our bodies flexible for any adventure.
It is truly amazing to watch and hear the children try to make sense of everything they see; by not being afraid to try new things, exploring them and questioning whatever necessary in order to learn. In order to expand on such observations, we are exploring the children’s imaginations through a variety of creative writing activities, discussions and improv.
We hope to make our very own ‘witch huts’, at the children’s request; look deeper into tales that have stood the test of time, and to discover shadows and the mysteries that lurk at night.
