As summer comes to an end (why did it have to go by so fast???), we hope that everyone has had a chance to enjoy the warm weather. We have heard about so many different types of vacations. The children have talked about trips to the cottage, as well as to the beach and to the zoo. Wherever you went this summer we hope you had a fabulous time.
We are excited to start a new school year. The start of the year often brings a few changes to our classrooms. Some children will be changing rooms, as well as the possibility of staffing changes. Please keep in mind that all staff can effectively work with all age groups. Staff will continuously plan curriculum based on the children’s interests and will introduce new ideas to them.
During the month of August, the children were interested in several topics, including transportation, farm, letters (especially letters that are associated with the beginning of a word), and just recently Familiar stories. They have been stuck on Goldilocks and the Three Bears, Jack and the Beanstalk, and Little Red Riding Hood.
