After a very busy month of holiday celebrations, and a much deserved Christmas break, we are happy to be back in the swing of things here in the Kindergarten room.

We’ll kick off the new year, on the 2nd, with a special New Year celebration.  Once regular classes resume, we’ll celebrate the new month and the addition of some new friends to our classroom.

Our focus for the month of January will be all things “winter”!  We’re hoping for a little snow, to help set the mood for our winter studies and provide a little extra fun to our outdoor play! Our Kindergarten crew will learn about the animals that “hibernate, migrate, and adapt”. They’ll learn to identify the animals that choose to sleep away the winter and those that love the cold.  An outdoor exploration will have us searching for animal tracks (if we get some snow).

Our clever class will also learn about animals in the Arctic.  Polar bears, seals, huskies, etc., will grace our room in the art centre, discovery zone, and puzzle play.

We do have a P.A. day, scheduled for Friday, January 17th.  Please let us know as soon as possible if your child will require care on this day.

We would also like to welcome Miss Kaitlyn to our kindergarten room.  She’s already proving to be a great addition to our incredible crew!
