Infant Room #1
Spring is well on its way, and we have been receiving beautiful weather for our walks. It’s exciting to see the children are noticing the changes outside. They have been interested in seeing the buds on the trees and hearing the birds chirping . We also enjoyed seeing all the dogs being walked and squirrels running around.
We have also been enjoying many sensory activities, such as water play, painting with different objects, sensory bags, and an outdoor sensory bin. The children enjoyed exploring these different materials during small group. During these activities we encouraged descriptive words such as “wet”, “splash”, “spiky”, “smooth”, “rough”, “hard” and “soft”.
We would like to wish all the mothers of every kind a very Happy Mother’s Day.
With warmer weather coming, please note:
Sunscreen will be provided. The brand we use is Croc Bloc. It is paba-free, hypo-allergenic broad spectrum UVA/UVB sunscreen with SPF 30. Sunscreen is applied to all exposed skin. If you do not want us to apply our sunscreen to your child, please let us know. In this case we ask that you apply your own sunscreen at home before your child arrives.
Just a reminder we will be closed Monday, May 23rd for Victoria Day. We hope everyone has a happy and safe holiday.
Infant Room #2
As the saying goes “April showers bring may flowers.” We are definitely ready for less showers and more sunshine. We love getting outside for our walks.
The friends in our room have settled in nicely. They enjoy each others company, and we enjoy watching them grow. The growth and development we see daily is fascinating. Seeing their little individual personalities shine through is the highlight of our day 😊.
