Infant Room #1
Thank you for sending in your family photos. They are posted at the babies’ eye level, and they are enjoying looking at them. We have been singing songs about families and friends. Our new favourite “ friend book” seems to be Winnie the Pooh! We provide the children with a basket of books, and they all seem to gravitate to that one. We have read it over and over and still seems to be our favourite!
March Break is quickly approaching (March 13-17) please advise the classroom teachers of any changes you may need, or if your child will not be attending, so we can staff accordingly. Thank you.
For the month of March we will be providing the babies with books, songs and felt board stories about the farm. They have shown an interest in the pictures posted and Old MacDonald.
Thank you all for labelling all of the children’s belongings, this helps tremendously in keeping track of their personal items.
If you choose, we are having a green day on March the 17th for St. Patrick’s day. Please dress your child in green.
Reminder, we will be closed on Friday April 7th for Good Friday and April 10th for Easter Monday.
Infant Room #2
We hope you all had a great Family Day! Spring is just around the corner and March Break will be here before we know it! Just a reminder that if there are any changes to your child’s schedule for March Break (March 13-17) please let the staff know. This helps us to plan appropriately.
We have noticed that the children are very interested in farm animals, so we have been talking a lot about the animals that live on a farm and the sounds they make. We have encouraged this interest by bringing out farm books, singing farm songs and doing activities like making a muddy pig painting, putting the fuzz on a sheep, and exploring animals and barn toys.
We have also been getting out for our stroller walks as much as possible. We are really looking forward to the warmer spring-like temperatures.
St. Patrick’s Day is Friday March 17th! Please dress your little Leprechaun in green.
