Last month we celebrated St. Patrick’s day. The children made leprechaun hats, bingo dabbed, coloured rainbows, and conducted science experiments where we exploded fizzy pots full of gold. We also went on a classroom treasure hunt to find gold coins. To our surprise when we unwrapped the coins we found out it was actually. Yum!
We also talked about Nutrition, Pets, and Space. The children amazed us with all the fun facts they knew about outer space . We definitely have some future astronauts in the making. We created planets, ate a moon made out of a rice cake, cream cheese, bananas, and Cheerios. We also took many rides on our pretend rocket ship. These kids definitely have creative and fun ideas and are full of imagination.
Moving into April we will discuss Easter. We have wonderful and beautiful artwork planned for the children to implement to decorate their homes for the holiday. Just a reminder we will be closed Friday April 7th for Good Friday and Monday April 10th for Easter Monday. Enjoy
Last month we participated in “Hats on for Healthcare” and raised money for Windsor Regional’s Paediatrics Program and NICU. Thank you to everyone who donated.
The children have been so interested in Jolly Phonics that we are ahead of schedule. We hear the children sing our Jolly Phonics songs all day long while playing in the classrooms. I, P, and N were the letters we learned in March. For the month of April we will learn the sound and corresponding songs for C, K, E, and H.
