April is finally here, and we couldn’t be more excited to ‘spring’ into a new season filled with warmer weather and new activities. After what feels like the longest winter ever, we are thrilled to explore new activities and discussions on what Spring will bring.
The month of March brought us loads of fun crafts to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, including rainbow pastel crafts, and coffee filter shamrocks. We also spent the week of March break diving into new topics that reflected the student’s interests, like Harry Potter, Pokémon, and Fortnite.
To properly welcome spring, the school age room will be using their green thumbs to grow their own plants from seeds. As a group, we will discuss the TLC each plant needs to blossom and bloom. Every plant has unique needs to grow, just like we do.
The month of April also brings us Easter! We have tons of crafts and activities planned to formally embrace the holiday, including an Easter egg art and outdoor scavenger hunt in search for signs of Spring and the Easter Bunny.
With Easter in mind, we would like to remind families that Story Book ELC will be closed Friday, April 15th and Monday, April 18th. We wish all of you a safe and happy Easter filled with love and great weather!
