Toddler Room #1 News
Welcome back everyone! It’s hard to believe that another year has come and gone already. We hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas break. We are excited to hear all about your child’s Christmas experiences and all the fun festivities that went along with it.
Last month the children really enjoyed talking about Christmas, Santa, reindeer, and elves. The children could often be found wearing the Santa hats as they walked around the room saying, “Ho, ho, ho! Merry Christmas!” The children also enjoyed pretending to be Santa as they came out of our chimney that we made from a box. Some of the activities the children were able to participate in, included decorating the Christmas tree together, learning a new Christmas song called Must be Santa and making many Christmas crafts for the season.

We would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year and we hope everyone enjoyed their holidays.
During the month of December, the children enjoyed learning about Christmas (the songs, traditions, characters, etc.). Along with all the festivities we worked on our colours and counting. We also had an interest in tools! We learned the names of the tools, what they are used for and who uses them.
We are excited to see what sparks our interest in 2019. We are going to start the year off learning about trains because the children were seen using the chairs in our classroom to make a train.
Thank you so much to all our families who helped contribute can goods and toys to the Salvation Army. Our staff also raised $650.00 by donating money to wear jeans on Fridays.
